Our Approach
As You Like It Tours provides a travel experience that is different from the typical "European Tour". A typical sightseeing tour group consists of 70-80 travelers who spend the majority of their time on large tour buses, sleeping in non-descript chain hotels and rushing from place to place with very little time to savor, relax, explore and enjoy the places they are visiting. The trip becomes a "blur" of tourist destinations and they arrive home exhausted. These people need a vacation in order to recuperate from their vacation!

Small Groups:
• Our tour groups range from 15-20 people.
• Our groups are composed of friends, families and like-minded travelers who develop long-term
friendships as a result of travelling together.
• Our small group size allows us to "get off the beaten path" to explore places seldom visited by
American tour groups and to go at our own pace.
Customized Itineraries:
• A common interest, such as theatre, British literature, historic homes, and military history bring people
together for a trip that is "tailor-made".
• We use our knowledge and expertise to plan a trip that focuses on the particular interests of each
group, avoiding "tourist traps" and ensuring that each day is well-spent.
Flexibility:
• Many of our local excursions are optional, so that you don t have to pay entrance fees for sightseeing or
activities that don't interest you. On the other hand, we can also plan personalized outings for
individuals who want to make a side-trip from one of the locations on our itinerary.
• On each trip, there are ample opportunities for our travelers to plan their own schedules for a given day.
Some may enjoy window-shopping and sipping cappuccino at an outdoor café. Some may spend the
morning in a museum or art gallery. Some take a long "ramble" through the countryside or find a place
to sketch or people-watch. You might choose a strenuous hike or a long afternoon nap. We won't over-
schedule your days…this is travel "as you like it"!
Stress-free Planning:
• We communicate with you and get to know you prior to the trip. This helps us plan a trip that is just as
you like it!
• We do all the planning! Your transportation, accommodations, theatre tickets, etc. are all taken care of
for you. All you have to do is pack your bag…and we give great packing instructions and pre-travel
assistance, too! We are always available to answer your questions and address your concerns.
Stress-free Travel:
• We travel in small chartered buses with an occasional train trip that is a memorable and enjoyable
opportunity to "live like a local".
• We do all the planning to get from place to place in the most efficient, cost-effective and enjoyable
manner possible.
• We stay in each destination for 2-4 nights so that our clients are not constantly packing/unpacking their
suitcases.
• We plan each itinerary to minimize cross-country travel and maximize time to relax, explore and enjoy
each destination to its fullest.
• Our hotels, apartments and guesthouses are chosen with the greatest care. We select
accommodations that are centrally located, clean, cost efficient, and that provide excellent service.
Affordability:
• Our expertise and our relationships with local proprietors, drivers, etc. allow us to plan trips that are
