An Afternoon in Cornwall: Polgoon Vineyard
Travelers to Cornwall expect to find a proper ale, stout, or lager when they pop in for a brew. What they may be surprised to find is an array of award-winning still and sparkling wines made in view of St Michael’s Mount.
Located just outside Penzance and overlooking Mounts Bay, Polgoon is a family-run artisan vineyard and orchard committed to using the best locally sourced ingredients to create delicious wines and ciders (and juices, Oh My!) with minimal impact on the environment. These “still and sparkling wines are made on-site, including one of the country’s very few heavier style red wines – a lightly oaked blend of Pinot Noir and Rondo” (winecellardoor.co.uk).
Our 2023 guests will enjoy a tour of the vineyard, a delicious lunch in The Vine House Kitchen, and (best of all) the opportunity to taste the very best this vineyard has to offer.
